BREAK OUT THE MARSHMALLOWS!
Welcome to another news post! Get your hot dogs and marshmallows ready for the bonfire part of summer! It's getting close to the end and fall will be here before you know it, so enjoy the warm evenings while you can! We don't have too much going on this month, but we a have a couple of exciting things we'll be covering along with some important announcements. We would like to take a moment and welcome the flood of new members we've had over the last month and will be including some information for them.
The Christmas in July event has come to an end! The Shiny Delibird has run out of eggs, but promises to be back again next year! Thank you to everyone who participated and we hope you enjoy your new Pokemon!
What's this? It seems that the June OTM winners have been announced! Click to reveal!
A few weeks ago we asked everyone to submit suggestions for who we should pick for the Of The Month awards and now, it's time to reveal the winners of July's Of The Month spotlight!
July's member of the month is..!
May's duo of the month is..!
eggs (the former more overtly welcomed than the latter) and patiently waiting for his tesoro to be ready to be something more than friends with benefits. When Gabe finally decides, over the course of rambling, late night introspection, that he wants Machiavelli to be his and his alone, he reveals his feelings in a typically roundabout, Gabe sort of way that Mack understands perfectly. The accord between these two men, the connection forged of long-nurtured affection that imparts unspoken meaning and unusual weight to casual words, is beautifully written and will wring warm feelings from the most jaded heart. When Mack says “You say that as if I ever left,” I defy your heart not to skip a beat.
We look forward to many more threads featuring these two fixtures of the Uberrime pits as they navigate their new relationship as an official couple. May they make us laugh, may they make us cry; they’re guaranteed to always make us feel.
June's quote of the month is..!
Saladin’s wit never fails, even under the worst of circumstances, and we can always count on him to make sure his partner, Uberrime ranger Sirhan Saifuddin, stays humble. Check out Fire Forged (this month’s Thread of the Month!) to see more of Sal’s endless supply of banter--and if the damned Academy ever gets back to him about that nomination.
June's thread of the month is..!
June's Pokémon of the month is..!
Choy didn’t ask for a shiny Croagunk. I mean, the Croagunk part is all well and good, but shiny? Not at all his style. Way too flashy. Wasn’t Z aware his thoughtful gift could be sold and three normal Croagunks bought while still leaving a hefty profit behind? But a promise is a promise, so Choy is stuck keeping the brightly colored amphibian.
June's character of the month is..!
pudding cat of a Sneasel, Bootsie. Her tendency to swing first and ask questions later can lead to some hilarious misunderstandings, and any thread with this Orrean pirate is guaranteed to be chock-full of hijinks. (Seriously; those not interested in shenanigans need not apply; if you find yourself in a thread with E.T. something wild is bound to happen!) Unashamedly irreverent and forcefully confident, E.T. follows her own code--to which she is as dedicated as any true believer. She may be possessed of some somewhat gray ethics, particularly in the area of technical legalities, but this Amazonian head-buster has a heart in full proportion with her size and can often be found teaching young pickpockets to improve their skills or rescuing stranded baby Gibles (and consequently, their beleaguered ranger partners). Her open nature, hilarious turns of phrase, and unflagging enthusiasm for full-bore nonsense make E.T. a joy to roleplay with and her threads a laugh-out-loud pleasure to read. If you want a thread with E.T. (and we strongly recommend it) hit up Crow, usually found lurking in the cbox on site, and join the fun!
It's time for our OTM nominations, so please submit by the 20th of August! Click to reveal!See below for how to suggest your favorite things for this month! Anyone can nominate, and whether you send in just one nomination or a whole handful, you'll receive 100 pokedollars for participating!
What is an OTM? These are special awards given out every month! For the entire next month, the winners will be showcased right above our Affiliate Section, as well as given an award in their miniprofiles. It's our way of saying: "Hot dang, look at our beautiful members! Let's let them know how fantastic they are."
Nominating: There are six categories up for nomination this month! We ask that you PM your choices to Celebi by the 20th of June so that staff can pick the winners and get everything set up for the July news post!
OtMs can only be earned once per category each year. If a character wins CotM, they can't be picked for CotM until next year! However, you may nominate as many as you like, and even send more than one PM if you think of or find new things to nominate.
We've got a few new things happening this month!
What's this? A section of the sea-front docks has been cornered off in Okeanos. What are those stands and tents they're setting up? Click to reveal!
The renovations in the Uberrime Pet Store are finally complete! Click to reveal!
The renovations of the Uberrime Pet Store are finally complete! Or at least, what they had planned so far. No telling what the future holds! For now, please come back and enjoy our inquisitive and colorful bug selection! Some people call them creepy-crawlings, but most of them really just want to be loved and appreciated like all other Pokemon!
We've had a decent influx of new members, so we just wanted to go over some of our newer features they may not be aware of. There is also an important announcement.
Just a small announcement about Journey threads. Click to reveal!
With so many active members and over seventy active journey threads, this means that journeys will take some time to get started. We will be prioritizing lab starter claim journeys, but it can still take up to a month for a journey to be picked up. Unfortunately, any time we have a moderator leave or go on a long-term hiatus, all of their journeys need to be picked up by moderators who are already at their capacity.
We are currently working with the admins to come up with some options to make Journey threads easier/less moderator focused, but until the admins are able to have the time to do so, this is what we have to work with.
We understand the frustration this must cause since journey threads are one of the few ways to catch wild Pokemon. However, we have added a few things to the site to enable users to get more Pokemon without needing a journey thread and we will be going over those options below.
In the meantime, while you are waiting on your journey, we highly suggest picking up interaction threads to help pass the time. There are many fun plots and adventures your characters can have without journeys.
We appreciate all of your patience and understanding.

There are two Pokemon shelters! Click to reveal!
Best Friends Pokemon Shelter is a place in Okeanos where Pokemon go up for adoption. If you are a new user (under 4 months old) you may adopt one Pokemon for the cost of a twenty post solo. Members over 4 months old or who have adopted before, may adopt again for a fee and a ten post solo. Please read and follow the rules in the thread.
Uberrime Pokemon Rescue Center is located in Uberrime. This center focuses on more severe rescue cases and the Pokemon often come with caveats that must be respected. Due to this, however, they tend to have more unique attributes (unique qualities, hybrids, unique abilities, unique moves) than the Pokemon from the Okeanos shelter. Their adoption rules are a little more strict, so please be sure to read them thoroughly.
We try to keep these updated with fresh Pokemon, so please be patient as the process can take a little time. It will be announced in the Recent News box here on the site and in the Quicknews channel on Discord when they are updated.
There are a few places where Pokemon can just be bought! Click to reveal!
The Uberrime Pet Store has all sorts of Pokemon for sale. They are, however, all domestic Pokemon. But that doesn't mean they're useless, just not the best for battling. If you are into breeding, domestics have a higher chance of producing some neat coloring including fully melanistic or albino Pokemon! There is also the possibility of breeding out the domestic ability, it just takes a little work.
The Caecus Breeding Rings are another place to buy Pokemon. There will be both domestic and non-domestic Pokemon here. Most will have either a unique quality, unique or hidden ability, or unique or egg moves. If you miss out on one of these cuties (limit supply available), just keep an eye out as they will be circulating back in at some point in the future.
There are several ways to obtain eggs! Both random and by choice eggs. Click to reveal!
Probably the easiest way to get a random egg is through the General Store. This egg will be completely random but has a percent chance to be rare and/or unique in some fashion (hidden ability, delta, unique quality, hybrid, shiny). Once you buy a mystery egg from the store you will need post in the Breeding and Egg Claim to get it generated. You are only allowed one egg per month per character. (This is subject to change.) Once the Pokemon is hatched you can either keep it or sell it to another player, the pet store, or the black market located in the Marketplaces of most towns.
The Campana Egg Nursery has pre-generated eggs available for purchase as well. The price of the eggs vary greatly but often reflect what sort of Pokemon is inside--the more expensive ones likely being rare in some fashion from actual rarity to having special qualities. You won't know what's in the egg until it's hatched, but you can either keep or sell it just like the mystery eggs above.
Don't have a lot of cash? Then hit up our Advertisement Claim to get an egg for advertising. Just 25 ads will get your a random mystery egg that follows the same rules for normal mystery eggs. If you don't like the game of chance, you can go all out for 200 ads and get one rare egg of choice (plus you get many, many more rewards than that).
The final avenue for getting new Pokemon is hitting up members to breed theirs! Click to reveal!
The Trader's Trove forum has some Pokemon available through professional breeders. Just click on the shops with 'Pokemon' in the topic description to see what is available.
There is also the Breeder's Alley for breeders to post what Pokemon they have available to breed. This will often have a fee that varies from member to member.
Not seeing what you're looking for? Hit up the new Wanted board in the Trove! Here you can post what you're looking for and haggle over trade/price.
Last but now least, the Lighthouse have some new starters and there are new swarms about!

PYROAR gathering in large numbers on Mount Aduro!
Pyroar males and females can be easily told apart from each other by the style of their mane. These fiery felines live in groups called prides. They're mostly made of females with the largest-maned male leading. It seems that a few prides' worth of females have gotten tired of the male's lazy ways and have decided to band together. Meanwhile, the shunned males are trying to work what's going on and how to fix it.
CHIKORITA are passing through Campana Town!
Usually found in the possession of a trainer, it's rare to see these Pokemon in the wild, especially in larger groups. It seems the occasional Chikorita spotted in Campana has invited some friends from the Quad Galeo. Or maybe there is something going on there that cause them to migrate to the peaceful mining town. Either way, these docile Pokemon seem to be making themselves at home, fitting right in with the practically domesticated wild grass types, though they are a touch more skittish.
TORRACAT have been chased from their homes and onto Aduro Pass!
These cats can be a bit full of themselves, giving the people they're closest to the hardest time. Generally speaking, wild Pokemon are not a fan of change. When the female Pyroars rose up against the males, their confusion and frustration led to the larger felines taking it out on those around them. With the larger groups of females forcing the males from their territory, they have in turn chased out a group of Torracat. These striped Pokemon are left trying to find suitable dens on the pass. Travel with caution, they are in a cranky mood.
DROWZEE are coming out of the woodwork on Vetus Isle!
Eater of dreams, Drowzee prefers to consume fun ones, while bad dreams can make them very ill. It reaching the time of summer of bonfires and camping on the beach on Vetus Isle. Wit so much fun going on and the people relaxed on their summer get-aways, the Drowzee have started gathering to take advantage of the blissful dreams such good times are bringing the visitors to the island.
VIVILLON are gathering in large groups along Lake Lebes!
A Vivillon's wings come in a variety of colors and patterns depending on where they were when they evolved. That time of year is here again and the Vivillon are gathering in the forest around Stipes. It's not quite clear why this gathering happens, but there are theories that it is some sort of reunion for the bug types. There have also been rumors about special flowers in the Stipes forest that bloom this time of year and are a favorite of these butterflies.
REMORAID are invading Corsola Cove!
Remoraid can shoot jets of water with incredible accuracy, often to knock insect Pokemon from the air and into the water. A large school of Remoraid have left Hudor Reef, heading along Route 2 and towards...who knows where? It's thought that they are headed to the Milia to reach the river mouths where the dump into the ocean so they can evolve. Their large number is causing quite the stir in the local Pokemon wildlife, not to mention a bane on local fishermen.
It's time for our the site-wide raffle! Click to reveal!
The raffle is ending on August 15th, so get on this for a chance to win!

A House is Not a Home -- A decade is a very long time to know someone and in the case of Gabriel Genovese and Machiavelli Deluka, it's been even longer. Of course, that's about the amount of time it takes to work your way into Gabe's well-guarded heart. Whereas Mack is always clear in regards to his feelings--both through words and actions. Follow along as this thread takes you through the knife fighter's internal struggles with his feelings for the mechanic. The ups, the downs, and the self-doubt will have any heart feeling for this man who has been through so much. Can he work up the courage to tell Mack he wants him for himself? Or will he brush the desire aside once more and suffer silently? Can Mack convince him to admit what's on his mind so they can go back to bed?
There's a Phantom in Your Room -- Part time musician, part time poacher Riscal Ash finds himself on the sunny, tourist crowded streets of Okeanos. As it happens often with the thief, he decides that a little more cash lining his pockets would be a welcomed change--and why not have some fun while doing it? As it would happen, he's not the only one casually eyeing the throngs of people around with a bit a mischief in mind. Though her playful fluff of a Growlithe is not quite as well trained as Riscal's Pokemon, Avery has enough experience to help make up for it and spotting the other wolf among the sheep is child's play. The older man approaches the green-haired girl and he seems to have some ideas in mind for how they can work together. What trouble will these two get into? Does Riscal plan on framing Avery? Will Moose's puppy-like behavior cause it all to crash down around their ears? Or maybe these two will find a basis for a more permanent working arrangement. Read to find out! This is an ongoing thread, so be sure to check back!
What Am I Doing Here? -- The warehouse often used as the off-site base for Liam Byron's illegal fighting pits is seeing an awful lot of action for the middle of the day. Undercover cop Rayne Nyte is not sure how he managed to get roped into letting his Pokemon teach a poacher's Pokemon how to protect her trainer. Isn't this the opposite of what cops were suppose to do--making it harder to apprehend the bad guy? But he can't risk his cover being blown, so there he is and with an egg his sister dumped on him. In addition to the move tutor's audience, Scrap has a job herself in tracking down some TMs that were misplaced. A wild group of Rattata are discovered as the culprits and some of her Pokemon are sent to deal with them where the girl can't follow. While she waits, why not have a little fun and challenge the big, bad mercenary to a battle? How will the battle go? Will this help Scrap feel more comfortable around one of Pyroar's 'brothers'? What will Pyroar do when he finds out his TMs were lost due to mishandling? Read to find out!
The Way to Start the Day -- There are not many things in life that can get determined lone Ranger Alexis Nyte to take some downtime, but Uberrime heart-throb Liam Byron manages--at least for a night. The morning proves less promising as the energetic woman is ready roll out of bed and see what the day has in store, despite Liam's efforts to keep her there. While the humans were otherwise engaged, Erzsebet and Zana decided the Ralts needed to learn psychic, which they inform the trainers while deciding what to do that morning. A jog on the beach meets several needs--something active for Alexis, room for Rialta the Gyarados to stretch her coils, and space for learning a new move. Will Bet be able to fight old habits to learn the move? What happens when Gel takes up Rialta's battle challenge? Can Liam convince Alexis to take a little more downtime? This is an ongoing thread, so be sure to check back!
You Make Me Happy When Skies are Gray -- One of the many great things around striking out on your first adventure is the people you meet! And, well, the Pokemon too, as Elise quickly learns when she's approached by a purple Delibird while trying to get to the lighthouse. He produces an egg from his pouch and gives it to the young breeder before moving on. Alba Ross has just left the lighthouse with his very first Pokemon companion. Upon seeing the young Elise juggling two eggs, he offers to help with the fragile packages, only to have the Delibird give him is own. Sufficiently laden with eggs, the pair share in some basic 'Hi, nice to meet you, chatter.' Alba starts the conversation off with a bang, not shy in talking about his less than cheerful past. Despite the awkwardness, Elise moves right along and the pair decide breakfast would be a good idea. Just how well will these two hit it off? Will they friends? Enemies? Frenemies? This is an ongoing thread so be sure to check back!
To See the Ocean -- One of the last things Avery Bellmont expected while letting Moose harass passersby on the beaches of Okeanos was to meet another woman with green hair--and she's not sure she likes it. The ever cheerful and friendly Lele Flowers is, as usual, delighted to meet another person with similarly hued locks. The bubbly woman and her enthusiastic quest for knowing things is a bit overwhelming for the thief--enough so that she hasn't even managed one scathing or sarcastic comment. She has a quota to keep, darn it! Will Lele managed to make another reluctant friend? Will Avery find her stride and convince this woman the answers to her questions are none of her business? Or will the musician's inquiries make the trainer think about things she hadn't considered before...? This is an ongoing thread, so be sure to check back!
